2K has confirmed on its web site that person information was compromised following a hack in late September. That information, stated the writer, contains usernames, console particulars, and electronic mail addresses.

“Following additional investigation, we found that the unauthorized third occasion gained entry to, and a replica of, a restricted quantity of your private information held in 2K’s helpdesk system and made it out there on the market,” wrote 2K.

As far as bank card info is anxious, 2K acknowledged that there is “no indication that any of your monetary info or password(s) held on our programs have been compromised.”

Last month, 2K’s buyer help providers have been used to ship malicious hyperlinks to customers. At the time, the NBA writer took the help system down and suggested all customers to not click on on any hyperlinks that got here from its help electronic mail. Though the help system is again up and working, it suggested customers to proceed to be cautious when receiving emails.

“We advocate that you just look out for suspicious exercise throughout your accounts and be vigilant for unauthorized third events making an attempt to leverage the incident to hurt you.”

Like in September, 2K suggested those that’ve already been affected to reset passwords, run multi-factor authentication, and alter account settings.
