Today, Electronic Arts introduced a brand new studio, Seattle-based Ridgeline Games, tasked with creating a story marketing campaign happening within the Battlefield universe.
Led by Halo co-creator Marcus Lehto and composed of trade veterans from all over the world, the studio is “excited to inform tales and take gamers on unimaginable adventures which can be solely potential inside the Battlefield universe.”
“It is a good honor to have the chance to collaborate with DICE and Ripple Effect and lead the cost on increasing the narrative, storytelling, and character growth alternatives within the Battlefield collection,” stated Lehto, sport director and head of Ridgeline Games.
“We’re continuing to invest in the future of the franchise by bringing in new talent and perspectives,” stated Vince Zampella, Respawn founder and head of the Battlefield franchise.
“With Marcus and his team at Ridgeline Games joining the world-class global team we already have in place, Battlefield is in the strongest position to succeed.”
Battlefield 2042 is the latest mainline entry within the collection, and Season 2 kicked off on August 30 arriving with a brand new map, a brand new Specialist, three new weapons, and two automobiles.
