Back within the day I ran a prolonged Gamma World marketing campaign utilizing the Phoenix Command system for the enjoyment of realism. I dropped the extra ridiculous stuff like military bunnies and such to make it extra like Mad Max with some horrible mutated monsters right here and there. We had a blast and all of it ended on a excessive notice.

I preferred the 4th version greatest.  Not 4th version as in D&D 4e, however the TSR launch that changed the faserip model.  I preferred 2nd fairly effectively too.  Wasn’t a fan of faserip gamma world although, however lots of people appear to love it greatest.

That being stated, if/once I get to run Gamma World once more, I think that I’ll simply use Mutant Future.  Everyone can get a replica and I haven’t got to danger passing round non-free PDFs.  It’s very very like 2nd ed GW.

I preferred first and fourth version and actively disliked the others.

Aside from the “language drift” obsession that they had and took too far in 4e. It was not a foul effort total. One of my gamers gave me theor badly beat up copy years in the past. Ironic that it seems to be like one thing that survived a post-apoc setting.

3e for some cause simply by no means clicked with me. I didnt just like the “crystal tech” obsession and the MSH-esque color system simply didn’t seize me for some cause. I preferred Gammarauders extra. Though that’s purely a wargame.

I’ve performed many of the outdated editions of GammaWorld a few years in the past. Was a number of enjoyable.

I did run the seventh Edition, primarily based off 4th Ed DnD. generally. Mostly for type of RPG get together weekends, which concerned a number of Gonzo type video games, consuming , partying and so on.
Whilst I didn’t like 4th Ed DnD, it is use for seventh Ed GammaWorld labored fairly effectively actually.  Very simple to run. Fun powers.
When I ran it, I primarily based it within the Fallout 3 setting PC recreation. So I extra used the foundations, some factions from it after which the setting for Fallout 3.

I used to like Gamma World. The drawback with me operating it at present is I think I’d be making adjustments to it and it might find yourself resembling Rifts… at which level I’d simply run Rifts.

Gamma World positively had quite a lot of innovation going for it. Of course this is determined by the editions of choice.

Aren’t the Palladium guidelines overcomplicated?

Also, I did not understand the 7e setting had the same premise to Rifts till you guys pointed it out. My mind is simply not working at present.
