Ryan Karazija, entrance man and lead singer for the Icelandic rock band Low Roar, handed away on October 29 at 40 years previous. The band confirmed the information on social media, and requested that the privateness of Karazija’s household be revered throughout this time. 

“After a brief sickness, Ryan Karazija, entrance man and driving power behind Low Roar, has died at age 40 as a result of problems from pneumonia,” the publish reads. “He was a form and delightful soul and our worlds are shattered by the lack of him. May we honour his reminiscence by his artwork and maintain him perpetually in his songs.”

Karazija initially started Low Roar in 2011 as a solo act following the tip of his earlier band, Audrye Sessions, in 2010. 

The band expanded through the years to incorporate extra members, and rose to prominence after the tune “I’ll Keep Coming” was featured within the 2016 trailer for Kojima Productions’ Death Stranding. Low Roar’s music is featured prominently all through the sport’s soundtrack. 

Outside of Death Stranding, Low Roar’s 2021 tune “Feels” was featured within the cellular sport Arknights.

Following the announcement of Karazija’s passing, Death Stranding director Hideo Kojima mentioned on Twitter that “with out Ryan, with out you and your music, Death Stranding wouldn’t have been born. Your music will stay perpetually on this world and in me.”
