2022 is shaping as much as be a reasonably darn good 12 months for Kirby. First there was the discharge of Kirby and the Forgotten Land again in March – which we described as ‘an absolute delight’ in our evaluate – then there have been the latest thirtieth anniversary celebrations, and now the discharge of the chompy sofa co-op sport, Kirby’s Dream Buffet.
In celebration of this newest sport launch, the Kirby Café in Japan has taken to Twitter to announce that each their Tokyo and Hakata branches will begin promoting a Dream Buffet-inspired dessert from September 1st.
The dessert, loosely translating as ‘Kirby’s Candy Gourmet Tart’, is a stacked course consisting of a tart base topped with strawberries, cream and, after all, a really full-looking Kirby. The yellow, brown, and green-coloured balls surrounding the primary occasion are a transparent call-back to Dream Buffet’s competing Kirbys – although primarily based on the drained look on OG Kirby’s face, it is fairly clear that pink gained this spherical.
Unfortunately, the dessert will solely be made out there on the two Kirby Cafés in Japan (until they’re open to operating a world Deliveroo service), so it looks like the above photos are the closest we’re going to get to attempting this scrumptious trying dish for the second.
Keeping us entertained within the meantime, Kirby’s Dream Buffet is out at present and is accessible to obtain from the Switch eShop for £13.49. One approach or one other, we’re getting our Kirby repair.
