Snowprint Studios has introduced the official launch of Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus. Hailing from the world-famous Warhammer collection, Tacticus is a grid-based tactical entry within the collection that includes many favorite factions to construct armies from and dominate the battlefield.

Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus is a battlefield recreation that takes place on a hexagonal grid. By constructing a staff of troops and well-known heros from the franchise, gamers might want to use all their crafty and ways to crush the enemy in intense fast-paced skirmishes within the PvE marketing campaign or towards different gamers in Live PvP battles.

With such a well-loved collection quite a bit can go unsuitable for the builders, and Snowprint Studios have taken a number of care to create an entry worthy of the title. For their launch, they’ve included such fan favorite factions because the Ultramarines, Orks, Black Templars, Necrons and the Black Legion. Also to make sure the standard of the story, they obtained the companies of famend Black Library writer Matt Forbeck.

On hiring Matt Forbeck Snowprint Studios mentioned: “We keep saying that lore and story are enormously important to us here on the Tacticus team, and that means the writing of those stories is too important to do in between other design jobs. We are very proud and excited to announce that we’ve hired the amazing Matt Forbeck to write our campaign. We feel fortunate to be able to bring you his experience and storytelling skills through our game.”

When discussing the love the event staff has for the franchise, Game Director Wilhelm Osterberg mentioned “Reflecting our passion for the Warhammer IP, a ‘Hobby Hub’ has been placed front and center on the main screen. This allows us to highlight what is happening in the broader Warhammer Universe right in the game. Tacticus will appeal to both current Warhammer fans and help those new to the IP to appreciate the full range and breadth of the Warhammer 40,000 universe.”
