There’s no method we’re going to see extra plastic Guard Regiments, proper? Then once more simply possibly…

Games Workshop introduced the lastic Attilan Rough Riders in the present day. I feel all of us kinda knew they have been coming primarily based on an previous Rumor Engine. But I had my doubts. Well, that was yesterday and now we’ve bought a take a look at these fashions.

They look nice! I’m excited to see their revamped look with a nod to their old fashioned unit. I additionally respect the mix of the previous and new.

However, this announcement bought me questioning: Will we see different plastic Guard Regiments get a rework? There’s no method, proper? Like…these previous metallic fashions bought the axe and that was the top of them…or was it?

Okay, so let’s take into consideration this one for a second. Many of those Regiments have guidelines, proper? So what would it not truly take to make a military of them? Well, first up, you’d want your primary infantry fashions. That’s 1 plastic equipment. And you’d in all probability want the command/HQ equipment. So that’s 2. What about the remaining?

One of the good issues in regards to the guard is that their weapons and weapon system don’t actually change. You’d simply want fashions with the identical base kits. All of those crew members may very well be changed with a single improve equipment. Same goes for the heavy weapons. So that’s possibly one other equipment or two, tops.

There’s an excellent probability that the heavy weapon groups may even be part of the core infantry field equipment. But let’s assume that at max we’d like 4 plastic kits — two ‘core’ choices and a pair of improve sprues. How many would GW have to make then? Well, we’ve already bought the Cadians. And Death Korps. That’ leaves…

Catachan Jungle Fighters

Tallarn Desert Raiders

Mordian Iron Guard

Valhallan Ice Warriors

And many, many extra choices.

Of all these choices, I’d count on the Catachans to get the primary dibs on a revamp. Considering the variety of Special Characters that they’ve (and all of the unique fashions) they appear like the perfect match. Plus, how else are you alleged to subject the staff from Predator?

With someplace between 2-4 kits per Regiment, that’s not precisely a small process. However, it’s not exceptional both. Will we see extra kits apart from Cadians sooner or later? I positive hope so. But it should by no means occur, proper? C’mon GW…we DARE you!

(Gotta hit them with the ‘we DARE you’ card…)
