Jeffrey Dean Morgan is a shoe in for The Boys in so some ways, what’s shocking is that this hasn’t occurred sooner.
Producer Eric Kripke has been attempting to get the actor on board for the final two years, after Morgan gave him a shout out after the season 1 finale. The two have been pals since they labored on Supernatural collectively. Jensen Ackles (additionally a Supernatural alumni) had been speaking to Morgan forward of final season. The curiosity was there, however timing was dangerous for a season 2 or 3 cameo.
Ackles advised EW:
“I know that there were some preliminary conversations of how and what and when and why that just didn’t work out with Jeff’s schedule. He’s a busy man, and everybody wants him to come on their show.”
Well…. schedules have lastly lined as much as enable the actor to leap on board for an episode. Confirmed my Kripke on twitter…
No phrase on if he’ll be a supe or what facet he’ll be on. I’m simply glad he’s lastly becoming a member of the present. His Comedian from that different examination of superheroes was spot on and would slot in completely on brutal and corrupt The Seven. Or the writers might take him in a totally different course and put him on Butcher’s workforce, which is brutal and means properly. Maybe. Kind of.
Season 4 of The Boys is filming now, Amazon hasn’t shared a launch date. Along with Morgan’s inclusion, the season will embody extra of Homelander’s child. He’s received some main decisions to make.
